We end the ‘panel series’ with a big epic party at 6:00 pm PST. DJ Bryce Sun :)This is not just a place for us to get down and boogie, but a place to test some of those filming techniques we have been learning over the last few weeks.
HONOR Roadshow
Looking for a place to see consensual violence and feel welcomed no matter how you identify? Honor Pro Wrestling is the fastest rising Second Life Pro Wrestling Federation who prides itself on its storytelling and hard hitting action. This is a 2nd opportunity for film makers to test their ability to ‘film on the fly’ and participate in a live filming event! Join the HONOR Roadshow as they perform at MACHINICON, and see what kind of film you can grab of this amazing group. Their aim is to provide the very best shows and experiences not only to our community but to the entire grid! They support all walks of life, be it human, furry, mythical, and everything in between! Come check them out! :)
MACHINIMA ACADEMY
Three learning tracks are featured this year at MACHINICON. They are as followed:
LIGHTS: This track focuses on settings using EEPs (Environmental Enhancement Project), making lights in world, and how colors can effect both mood and how we see shades and skin tones.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Easy
CAMERA: This interactive tour style learning experience takes residents through short film lessons using the infamous MASTER SHOTS guide written by Christopher Kenworthy, then provides participants with interactive sets where they can put those skills to the test. Interactive sets animate avatars and adjust camera angles, instructing the participant how to capture and film different angles for movie making.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Easy to Medium
ACTION: Put all your skills you’ve learned to the test! MACHINICON is hosting three different ACTION themed events this year to provide real time examples of Second Life events for budding machinima makers to practice their filming skills. Learn more about those events HERE, HERE, & HERE.
